Hovering over its prey. After chasing these little Falcons for years, recently I've seen them show up all over. Today I saw four hunting in a relatively small area in the Refuge. Also known as the Sparrow Hawk because it feeds on small birds like the sparrow, the Kestrel is a member of the Falcon Family.
A Northern Harrier, also known as a Marsh Hawk, drying it's wings in a sunbreak after a heavy downpour in the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
Just flying along the edge of the waves looking for a tasty morsel for dinner.
